My approach is affirming, solution-oriented, and open-minded. I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, and life stressors. My goal is for you to leave therapy with greater clarity and confidence to make meaningful changes and live according to your values.
Therapy is a collaborative process, and you’ll help guide our work together. We’ll build on what has worked for you in the past, identify areas for growth, and create a personalized plan using evidence-based approaches including:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD
Internal Family Systems
Motivational Interviewing
Self Compassion Mindfulness
At the core of my practice is a person-centered philosophy, where your concerns and needs are primary. I am dedicated to providing a supportive and empathetic environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive changes in your life.
I have worked with individuals with substance use and mental health concerns in non-profit settings for more than 20 years. I am excited to open Peace & Purpose Therapy, LLC and have the opportunity to continue my work with clients exploring neurodiversity, ADHD, PTSD, and gender affirming care.
My background includes supporting individuals, parents, and family members concerned about a loved one’s mental health and substance use. I have also worked with individuals in the criminal justice system with charges ranging from Operating while Intoxicated (OWI) to felony drug possession charges. I have brought prevention education on substance use to schools, community forums, and workplaces.
I also enjoy learning from others and being an educator. I have taught college courses to undergraduate and graduate students at Edgewood College and UW-Madison.
As an Independent Clinical Supervisor, I provide supervision to clinicians new to the field as they obtain their APSW, LCSW, and SAC credentials.
